Driving home from Nebraska tonight, we could see the sun very brightly and it had just rained up ahead, so we saw lots of clouds as well as an incredible rainbow. Ben (who LOVES rainbows) looked up at the clouds above the rainbow and said, “I bet God doesn’t sit on that cloud because it is way too hot". Ben, I bet you are right.

During our usual morning snuggle time, Tyler is laying with me in bed and our heads are pretty close together. Pretty soon, he rolls over and looks at me in all seriousness and says, “Mama, your breath is kind of stinky and it’s getting in my ear.” Yours isn’t so hot yourself mister…Maybe I need to get up and brush my teeth before snuggle time.

Every morning, Tyler loves to come in and snuggle with me. Some mornings, I just want to get up and get going before the boys get up, but I hate missing out on Tyler’s snuggle time. I asked him if he would come in and snuggle with me forever even when he was big and he said “no mama, big kids don’t snuggle.” Thinking this might be the end of our snuggle time forever, I asked him when he thought he would be to big to snuggle and he thought about it for awhile and then told me that he thought that once he was “about 10″ he would be too big. I can do that…hooray for more years of snuggles!

Tyler came to me today and said, “Mama, I know that Christmas, Easter and Mother’s Day are all holidays, but what other days are holidays?” I tried not to smile, but told him that he got those three, and those are probably the most important and then went on to name many others. : ) I have no idea where he even heard the word holiday, but he sounds so cute saying it! And of course, if you have Christmas, Easter and Mother’s Day, what else do you need?

Today, Ben asked me if he could play a certain part of one of his Leapster games. My reply was “I don’t know, that one is a bit hard.” Ben’s return? “It’s okay Mama, I’m pretty awesome at hard stuff.”
